Lamont Taylor of Caroline County, MD has officially thrown his hat in the ring as a candidate in the 2018 race for congress, Maryland ‘s District #1.

Mr. Taylor in the past has worked with former Maryland Delegate Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio and now Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of Governor. Before Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio held an office Mr. Taylor helped her start and spearhead a organization in Talbot County, the club was so successful, in fact, that they broadened the membership to the Mid-Shore territory all within one year.

Mr. Taylor is known to have a positive influence on his peers, to be dedicated and driven even when things appear to be tough. Taylor considers himself as a people person embracing all regardless of race, religion or social status, as a registered Republican since 2002 Taylor says he will put the people first over parties and politics.

Mr. Taylor is a current resident of Caroline County Maryland and a Native of Oxford, Maryland where he grew up. This former small businesses owner started his business in hard times with very little finances he grew and ran a successful Janitorial Business from 2000 – 2010 (Taylor’s Janitorial Service). Since then Mr. Taylor has went on to write and self publish the book “A Raw Business Sense” which is carried on Amazon and locally at the News Center in Easton, MD. He has been very active in local politics over the years and is a proud member of the Shriners Organization.
