Outstanding Dreams Farm
September 5, 2017
Now in it’s 9th year, Outstanding Dreams Farm’s Alpaca Festival on Saturday, September 16th and Sunday, September 17th in Preston, Maryland promises fun for the whole family. Tour the farm, meet and learn about their growing herd of alpacas, watch fiber arts demonstrations and enjoy live music while checking out the many craft and food vendors at this one-of-a-kind event.
Located on fifteen peaceful acres on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Outstanding Dreams Farm is home to more than 25 Huacaya alpacas and a Farm Store that carries a variety of products crafted from alpaca fiber. Owners Phil and Vickie Liske established the farm in 2007, and it has grown to be one of the top agritourism destinations in the region. In addition to offering Champion alpaca breeding services and sales, the Liskes frequently offer farm tours for groups of all sizes.
Outstanding Dreams Farm’s two-day festival offers visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with the gentle and lovable animals. In addition to the alpacas, the event also features live music by Silhouette Song, artisans and craft vendors, children’s activities, games and more.
Festival attendees will also be able to shop for a variety of products crafted from alpaca fleece – a luxurious and durable fiber that is renowned for it’s hypoallergenic qualities–at the Outstanding Dreams Farm Store. The shop carries an array of products made from the luxurious natural fiber, including clothing, hats, scarves, gloves, children’s toys, jewelry, raw fiber and the popular Paca Socks.
The Liskes are eager to share their passion for raising alpacas with festival-goers.
“One of our favorite parts of the job is introducing people to the wonderful world of alpacas and sharing our love and knowledge of these gentle animals,” says Liske.
The festival takes place Saturday, September 16th from 11am-5pm and Sunday, September 17th from noon – 4pm at Outstanding Dreams Farm, 24480 Pinetown Road, Preston, Maryland. A Caroline County man was arrested and charged earlier today after a Maryland State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation developed evidence supporting charges of distribution and possession of child pornography.
The suspect is identified as Christopher Palguta, 32, of the 7700 block of Shore Drive, Preston, MD. Palguta was arrested without incident and charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography and ten counts distribution of child pornography. Palguta is pending being seen by a District Court Commissioner at this time of writing.
Investigators received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about the potential distribution of child pornography over the Internet. As a result of the subsequent investigation, Palguta was identified as the suspect. Earlier today a search warrant of Palguta’s residence lead to the seizure of numerous computers, electronic devices and media storage devices. A search of those devices revealed images and videos of child pornography. The computers seized during this investigation will be submitted to the Maryland State Police Digital Forensics Lab for analysis.
The Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is comprised of police agencies from around the state. Its primary mission is to protect children from computer-facilitated sexual exploitation. The Task Force works cooperatively with law enforcement agencies and prosecutors to provide resources to combat these crimes. Additionally, the Task Force provides community awareness campaigns helping to prevent the spread of these crimes through education.

Maryland State Police Press Release
ONE KILLED AND SEVERAL INJURED IN CAROLINE CO. CRASH
(PRESTON, MD) – One person was killed and several injured in a two vehicle crash this morning in Caroline County.
The person fatally injured is identified as Michaela D. Coulbourn, 50, of Preston, Md. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Ms. Coulbourn was the driver and only occupant of a 2005 Cadillac passenger car.
The driver of the 2013 Ford bus is identified as Rome E. Brittingham Jr., 68, of Denton, Md. Mr. Brittingham was driving a state-owned bus that was providing county transportation for individuals to an adult care facility.
Shortly after 8:30 a.m. today, troopers from the Easton Barracks were dispatched to the crash that occurred on Bethlehem Rd. (Rt. 528), one-tenth of a mile east of Newton Rd., in Preston, Md. Arriving troopers found the Cadillac and Ford bus had collided and the bus had overturned onto its side. EMS and fire personnel responded to the scene and transported the bus driver, his assistant, and the five people being driven to the care facility to Easton Memorial Hospital.
The preliminary investigation indicates the two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions as they approached each other on Bethlehem Rd. For reasons unclear at this time, the Cadillac apparently drifted across the centerline and into the path of the oncoming Ford bus. The bus driver tried to avoid the collision, but the Cadillac struck the bus on the driver’s side near the rear axle, causing the bus to overturn.
The investigation is continuing.
