DENTON, DE
Adrienne L. Webb, DDS, has joined the full-time dental staff at Choptank Community Health System.
Dr. Scott Wolpin, senior vice president and chief dental officer welcomed Webb to the staff in September. “We are pleased that Dr. Webb has joined our growing professional team,” Wolpin said.
Webb completed her dental training at The Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland in 2005. She also completed a residency in general practice dentistry at the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. She is a Fellow in the American Association of Hospital Dentists.
Prior to joining Choptank, Webb was in private practice here on the Eastern Shore.
Webb will be seeing patients at the expanded Cambridge Dental Center located at the Fassett Magee Health Center. The new seven-chair dental facility in Cambridge opened in January. Funding to support the expansion was awarded to Choptank through the Federal Investment Program (FIP) made available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). FIP funds of $500 million were awarded to 85 community health centers nationwide through a highly competitive process to support major construction and renovation projects. CCHS was the only community health center in Maryland to receive funding through this program.
Choptank began offering dental services in 2001, opening its first center in Federalsburg. Currently, CCHS provides dental services in three locations, Federalsburg, Goldsboro, and Cambridge. The Oral Health Program also provides preventive dental services to schools in Caroline, Dorchester and Talbot counties.
“The addition of Dr. Webb to our team will allow us to offer family dental care to the Cambridge community,” said David Fisher, senior vice president and chief operating officer for CCHS. “We will always work to meet the needs of the communities we serve across the Mid-Shore region.”
In 2010, the dental program served 8,305 patients with a total of 15,983 visits.
Choptank Community Health System is a Joint Commission accredited health center with offices in Goldsboro, Denton, Federalsburg, Hurlock, Cambridge and St. Michaels.
CCHS provides complete primary health care for the families of the Mid-Shore. CCHS participates with most insurance plans and is accepting new patients.
